The California-based lit magazine Under the Gum Tree just released their latest issue, which marks their two-year anniversary! Congrats to Editor and Publisher Janna Marlies Maron and her great team. In celebration, the magazine is hosting a reading and party on November 15 at 6 pm PST/ 9 pm EST. I’ve been invited to participate as a reader of my piece “Six-Point Win” which was published in this issue! Because contributors are spread out geographically, Gum Tree has envisioned local reading with a twist. The reading will take place locally and live online via projected video on Google Hangout so that readers who aren’t local can also participate. I’m grateful to be included and that there are people in the world who can figure out that sort of technology, which means I won’t ever have to. (Right?)
